(a microblog: notes, queries, and whatnot)

Somewhat predictably, the head-feint towards the (bad wines, with all for one, initially) results in the portentous Saturday thinkpiece in the Times on American decline.  More interestingly, the review of the Roy Cohn biography seems especially bare-knuckled and lurid, with some usually disfavoured lines of attack.  The new politics.

I see with some amusement that the pro tennis players are complaining about all of the marihuana smoke and oblivious influencers in NYC.  Elsewhere, visitors to Newcastle are complaining about being surrounded by all that coal.

The age of corporatism, and those taking advantage of it.  A predictable result of the Woodstock to Wall Street generation.

Beware the children of the winners of great wars.
