(a microblog: notes, queries, and whatnot)

Interesting, I attempted to weigh in on the UK Reform/US crypto money dispute in the Times, but my comment was rejected as noncompliant with the terms of use, with a speed that could only have come from an AI screening.  Two quick lines, the first a tongue-in-cheek suggestion that they could work around the potentially ex post facto law by giving the donations themselves retrospective effect, and the second the Lord Chancellor's line at the end of Iolanthe about the subtleties of the legal mind being equal to any emergency.

It's odd, not only has the mediated world of the present politics created a sort of tone and banter that's unilluminative and instinctual, but the mechanism itself has been trained to recognize it and filter out any discourse that doesn't fit the expected pattern, as it's likely off-topic, and a complete waste of time.

And it's not wrong about that, just a bit inaccurate.
