Interesting, Taverner's Veil of the Temple is opening the Edinburgh Festival this year. I remember the Lincoln Center performance shortly after the Temple Church premiere. Groundling ticket, so the floor for the full eight hours -- composer in attendance, signalling for the audience to rise by raising both arms in a grand gesture as he stood. And then on to the dawn.
