Bit chilly last night.

At a bit of an impasse. After giving the art everything I had through conservatory and then the decade afterwards, and being completely sidelined for a few years, I earned good grades at a top-tier law school while taking as many doctrinal courses as they would allow, and then when nothing came of that, I wrote a doctoral dissertation while grading thousands of undergraduate papers, and no defense was scheduled. Frankly, I'm not certain which button to push now. Recently, after a few years of travel through the Balkans, I've crash-landed stateside on short notice, and the slog is a bit rough.

Things are seldom what they seem
